Personally, I find this a very interesting movie website. The interacts, the graphics, the sounds are all nicely done. The main flow are divided into 10 stages leading you to follow the identity of the character. Each time you enter the site, there's a random character whose identity is on stage. As the plot is that you check in a motel in a rainy day to investigate, the sound are mainly the rain and the thunders.... The lighting effects on the static photos are really engaging, the rainy animations are realistic, and the interacts are varied. All enhance the mood which is dark, mysterious and disastrous.
The way they use partly hidden photograph on the black background and reveal them some more following the beat of thunder make the experience even more nice. The typography is like the wave recording of the sound, the texts that are big are the visualization of the louder voices. The crooked lines in red and white is like blood stains, sometimes they are transformed into the crooked handwriting to sketch out the routes or the targets.
Although the flow are divided into 10 different stages. The interactions provided on each stage can lead us go to the other stage rather than the next stage of the next number. The non-linear presentation in this site based on the rule "making the order and then break them". That is, they allow users to see the navigation bar with order, and lead the users on with the order for sometime and then break the order, make the user more deep into the mood of the investigation they provide.
The interacts are numerious and interesting. The main catergories of interacts are : choosing the right object, matching the objects, or arrange the objects.
